What About Mob?

Joining similar personal style networks StyleDiary and ShareYourLook is StyleMob, a new social networking site with a fashion bent. Tapping into the consumer penchant for street style seen in popular sites such as Street Peeper, The Sartorialist, and Facehunter, the site enables anyone to become the next Internet style star a la Cobra Snake muse Cory Kennedy. Users create profiles where they upload photos of themselves modeling their self-styled ensembles, accompanied by details on each item and a backstory about the outfit. Other members of the community then give feedback via a MySpace-style comments section. While it seems that this could be a breeding ground for cattiness, constructive criticism abounds and is welcomed, thus far. The site is currently in Beta, so changes may occur, but I expect it will be a great source not only for consumers looking for attainable style inspiration, but also for brands looking to see how consumers are wearing their clothes.
